Are you here to find out “How to turn on battery percentage on iPhone 14 and 14 Pro“? Then you have come to the right place.
Users of iPhone 8 and earlier could enable the battery percentage in the status bar. The indicator was previously there to the left of the battery icon. However, beginning with the iPhone X, Apple removed the option to display the battery percentage at the top of the screen. The reason for this is that newer iPhones with a notch and Face ID didn’t have enough space to display the battery percentage permanently.
As a result, iPhone users were limited to viewing the battery percentage by swiping down to the Control Center. Furthermore, one can check the remaining battery life by putting the battery widget on the Home Screen, using Siri, or visiting the Today View page.
Fortunately, Apple has added the ability to turn on the battery percentage in the status bar on iPhone 14 in iOS 16. This was a much-anticipated feature that has finally returned. You can also enable it on older iPhones running iOS 16, such as the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and iPhone 11 Pro. The option to display the battery percentage icon, however, is not available on the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, or iPhone 13 mini.
You won’t see it right away because it isn’t enabled by default. When turned on, the battery percentage on iPhone 14 is visible. The only difference is that the percentage level now appears within the battery icon rather than next to it. Without further ado, here’s how to see your iPhone 14’s battery percentage without swiping down.
Step 1: Install iOS 16
You can skip this step if you recently purchased an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, or iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple’s most recent handsets should already have iOS 16 installed.
If you’re using an older device, you’ll need to download iOS 16 in order to proceed.
Follow these steps to download iOS 16:
Open the Settings app
Scroll down and select General
Select the option Update Software
Wait for your iPhone to check for updates
To achieve the most recent iOS update, select Download and Install

Step 2: Open Settings
The Battery Percentage option will be available after you’ve downloaded the iOS 16. To begin, open the Settings app.

Step 3: Go to Settings and select Battery
Scroll down in the Settings app until you see the Battery option. Tap on Battery to select it.

Step 4: Enable Show Battery Percentage
Since installing iOS 16, there will be a new option above Low Power Mode in the Battery settings. Simply tap the Show Battery Percentage.

Done! You can now see your iPhone’s exact battery percentage.
With the Show Battery Percentage option enabled, you should be able to see a numeric representation of your remaining battery life without having to access the Control Centre from your home or lock screen.
